Attractions
Turn right on Alaskan way and walk up towards Pier 55 and Argosy Cruises.
Our amazing sailboat is the largest and most comfortable public sailing vessel in Seattle. We have comfortable seats for relaxing and wide decks to enjoy moving around the vessel. We have two restrooms and serve cider, beer, wine, champagne, soda, and water.
We learned so much about our own city as we cruised away from the pier and south of Seattle towards where the cargo ships unload their containers. We even saw one of the giant cranes at work-this doesn’t happen all the time-it’s a working dock. And even after living in the city for nearly 20 years, I don’t think I’ve ever seen this part of the city from the water. We also circled back and got some phenomenal views of the city as well. This is a great tour to take if you like to take photos-I could barely stop taking pictures.

Ryan was the same tour guide on both of the tours we took and he was very knowledgeable and current on everything going on in the city. There is no more beautiful or romantic way to experience a sunset cruise than on-board an authentic tall ship. Our Harbor Sailing tour is family-friendly and is an excellent way to see the Seattle skyline, the beauty of the Puget Sound, even mountain views! We will depart from our dock at Pier 66 Bell Harbor Marina, then set our sails for a 2-hour cruise in the Puget Sound.
Get up close to large container ships being loaded and unloaded from the largest man-made island in the United States. Seattle is home to many types of cuisine, and it seems to do them all very well. With Asian cuisine and seafood available everywhere you turn, you may also want to check out Paseo for some delicious, authentic Cuban fare. Many visitors to Seattle drive to the US across the Canadian border. If you are a Canadian citizen, you will need to have an enhanced driver’s license or ID.
They’ll let you help hoist and lower the sails, which only adds to it. Due to its location right on the sound, you’re able to see gorgeous views of the Olympic Mountains, the water, and much more. However, for the best views, we highly recommend going on an actual tour. Reserve your seat on the 1-hour Harbor Cruise if you purchased your combo with Sky View!
Visit Seattle has partnered with local attractions, restaurants, and retailers, to offer a collection of discounts and savings with this FREE, mobile-friendly passport. Access to local neighborhood deals and discounts will be delivered instantly to your phone. If we had more time in our day before our tour we might have had lunch at Ba Bar or Cactus, spent some time at the MOHAI, and maybe grabbed a coffee and pastry at Fresh Flours. There are so many things to do in Seattle in both of these areas that we always run out of time before we run out of ideas.

It’s not just the city of Seattle that is worth your time exploring. Mount Rainier, the Cascade Mountains, Mount St. Helens, and even Puget Sound are all great places to experience while you’re already nearby. Day tours offer a fun and affordable way to experience them with transportation usually provided, and oftentimes meals, snacks, and beverages provided as well. Boarding begins about 20 minutes prior to departure and onboard seating is first-come, first-served.
In downtown, the light train is quick and has many convenient stops. It is also one of the best ways to get too and from SeaTac airport. Seattle gets more rain than many other areas of the country, but they may not get as much rain as you assume. This means that you may not even need the umbrella you bring but it’s better to have one and not need it.
” We will set the sails, turn off the engine, and relax as the cool sea breeze powers us through the Puget Sound. Enjoy a drink as the sun dips down behind the Olympic Peninsula and bathes the Seattle skyline in sparkling twilight colors. Of course, when visiting Seattle, you don’t want to miss out on the Space Needle or the Seattle Great Wheel, a tall Ferris wheel that offers stunning views of the city especially at sunset.
